I agree with you Judy, I get chills andd goosebumps everytime I listen to that song and the line, "Ooohhh were I, the last to leave....." I wish the song lasted another three minutes.

The best songs I ever wrote where the ones I transcribed on a yellow legal pad with a #2 red cub reporter pencil that were actually written before I wrote them down by a guy named Dylan and a couple of guys named Guthrie.

When I was going through a tough, tough time, I was driving and upset, listening to Amigo in the tape player. Ocean Crossing was playing and when it got to the lines at the end "All these thoughts just rip me open/Who can heal a heart that's broken?/Like the wind that blows unspoken/Blew my love away" I had to pull off and just cry.
I think of that day every time I hear the song and every time I pass that exit I was on. I'd always thought that particular set of lines were masterful rhymes, and it wasn't as though I hadn't heard the song a million times, but it really got to me that day.

My other favorite is all of "Someday." When I first heard it, I was taking it as a sweet, funny, sentimental goodbye between romantic partners. I hadn't listened to the tape for a long time, and put it in not long after my mom passed away. All of a sudden it had a completely different meaning.

Geeze. I drive around crying way too much, I'm realizing.

That line kept repeating itself in my mind last May 6th, the day my father died of emphysema. Great song.
