Having a DC /No. VA gathering of Blunderite friends isn't a bad idea. There's lots of free stuff to do with all the museums on the mall, and there's good music every night of the week somewhere in this area. You all can get around pretty well on Metro. The weather is beautiful that time of the year. Mostly what people are concerned about is missing seeing the friends...but we ought to be able to do that without Guthries being around. Anyone game for DC/No. VA in October?

the closet thing I noticed was Leon Russell playing 'The Keswick' in Nov. two nites in a row. Always wanted to patronize that venue. Never got the chance. I hear the carpeting in like 4" thick.

course I'm off probation, which means I can again go to Canada. I think Neil Young is playing.

Nah, I'm really kidding. I'll surely miss hearing Arlo sing and play. But not as much as maybe missing my friends, who gather in the Berks. I'd have to take an educated guess, and think to Arlo, this would be like not having to carry around that 500 lb. harmonica.

With that said, one should never speculate what someone else might be thinking. I always cringe when folks suggest, Arlo for president, or this, or maybe he should protest for Indian folklore ect.... I think just being him, would be difficult at times. I mean when he openly tells people, ' we aint runnin for nuthin, and people still have suggestions for him. Wierd. One thing is for sure, allot of folks will sincerely miss him, being in the Berkshire area come autumn. It's the ultimate compliment....

I dunno. I think we all should try and scare the shit out of George and show up in Oct. anyway.

Yeah, good idea, Larry. I'll park in the same spot that I got yelled at for parking in a few years back. Would be fun to see the look on old George's face!

aye Mikey: second time I attended a church show, I showed up in the afternoon to meet up with some friends. Todd Goodman was with us then. I had parked a ways away, and Todd kept yelling over to me. I hadn't met him in the flesh yet, so I just drove up to where he and Fitzy were hangin..... Todd called me a crazy New Yorker, suggesting I didn't know how to park a car. Then this lady came out, all frazzled, sayin I was parked in Arlo's parking spot, and to immediately move my car. My wife Sue was sitting in the passenger seat, and for some reason I was more into meeting and rappin with Todd then moving my van. Arlo never did show up, but if looks could kill, that woman woulda had me dead.... I've always been a rebel, and unless it's a man with a badge, I aint movin no car, unless asked politely.....

I never did find out the lady's name, but met some fantastic people that wk end. Most of which I still speak with to this day. To be honest I was kinda hopin Arlo would show up, and tell me, 'dude move your car'... But the powers to be, said it wasn't so. I miss Todd. He was one of the coolest folks I ever met at the Church. Truth is the good die young. there's allot of us, that Miss Todd Goodman. Fact there's a lil stone outside the church, dedicated in his honor, for his yrs. of volunteer work. Lots of story's come outta that ol Church. That's a fact.

RB, that explains why George's underwear were in a bunch; I was in the folkslinger's spot! I do remember seeing Todd's memorial stone there, and I have a picture of it somewhere, by the way.

So many blunderites have passed on Todd, Mike, Dennis. RIP all. It's hard to believe it's been a yr since Mike went home to heaven. I still love and miss him always. Doesn't seem possible he's been gone that long...
