The whole premise of SS having a possible shortfall in the future was the 'problem' that the asshole in DC was tryin' to scare folks with.
If we do nothin' we'll likely find it ain't really broke, and the government will continue to make their payments. But if folks need to have things tidy, then like I said, it's really just a matter of refocusing the actuarial tables that SS was originally founded against. Retirement age and average life spans have changed, but SS hasn't kept up as well as it should. Just tweak those numbers and you'll probably find a fully funded SS in your futures.

Why should the Corperations who own the TV still get richer and richer of of its commecials, when this Land needs that trash/cash? The gov doesn't have to take over the TV, but why should the Corperations be allowed to control them? All that easy money made off of the Super Bowl being used for the People is my dream.
Imagine all the People sharing all the earth. What would change if that was the case? I see real Peace and real Freedom coming from Lennon's Dream. Not the bs we are living under right now.
I even dream of the day the People of cities and states own the sports teams.-Not the (gov.) or the rich.

I'm not sure, but i'd be surprised to find that there aren't ANY publicly held major league teams out there...
Please! If the government ran all TV and all Sports, we'd be watchin kick-ball (the big red rubber ball variety) on all 2 available channels without snow or other interference, for all of the 2 hours a day broadcast time!
And the Repubs would still say it's too gay, and the Dems would still say why is it a RED ball and not a non-denominational ball?

Ney, Arnie, I didn't say the gov was going to own the sports teams. But don't still the People own this Land? We are suppose to unless you continue to support, land owned by the corperations and by the corperations. Or is it owned by the People by the People.
I like the idea of lots of the profits from the TV going to help the People instead of the Corperations.
