G'day. I reckon it must have been around 1963 (give or take) when I was first introduced to an Arlo Guthrie long play record. Maybe it was his first long play??
If my memory serves me fairly (bearing in mind I'm winding it back about 53 years), I recall a photo that showed Arlo with a heap of hair sticking out to one side. Hey, I may be wrong, it"s a while ago.
The only song I can remember was The Motor Cycle Song. My mate & I thought it was really great.
Hmmm, maybe it also included Alice's Restaurant or was that a bit later?
I wonder if anyone knows the name of that album & whether or not it can be obtained (in cd form).
I have four of Arlo's albums so I'm a fan but not a fanatic.
I've also been to two of his concerts in Melbourne (Australia) & boy I am going back a bit there too.
If anyone does know the name of the album I'm thinking of (calling all clairivoints), I'd appreciate the info.
Gez mate, I feel inspired. I reckon I'll give a couple of my records a spin tomorrow, thanks.
Mikie.

Hi Mikie,

If you have a look at the Discography button on the left and take a look at Arlo from 1968, I think you will see the object of your quest. Over at Get Stuff they don't seem to have it as cd right now. It wasn't on the US iTunes last I checked but that was a while ago and the Aussie iTunes is different. Good Luck!

There's a lot of CDs that are in stock but not available. That's because the entire office was moved from Florida in Big Red aka The Hanuman Bus. The new office space was supposed to be done so we could set up with an easy transition. Didn't happen. Lots of rain and structural reinforcements caused delays. All the merch is still in the bus waiting to be moved in - maybe in a couple of weeks. Thanks for understanding the limited online Get Stuff situation.

I remember awhile back she'd been on a holiday to France and liked it alot. Thanks for solving that mystery for me adg! Better lost in France than lost in Big Red! (though that would be kinda fun for awhile!)

Oh no, another "mikey" on the forum. Fortunately, he spells it "Mikie". And I was just getting used to two Cheryls.

mikey (the one in Florida)

P.S. Where's the new RSR office going to be? Still in Sebastian?

Mikey, I'm pretty sure that the new RSR office will be at the Farm (correct me if I'm wrong adg). I guess that's where Big Red took all the merch and stuff but of course Big Red could be anywhere in the united states at any given time, carrying all that neat stuff around 'til the new office is ready.

Of course if adg still has that phone booth at the farm he could name it the Tardis. And of course we know that even though the Tardis looks like it could only hold one person, when you walk through the door there's actually a huge room in there that could easily hold all the RSR merch, office desks and chairs, T-shirt Cathy, computers, copying machines, pencils and benches and all kindsa stuff.

Of course people in blue tights and red capes might like to borrow it sometimes too. (why did an image of Larry just flash before my eyes?)

I sought it here, I sought it there
I sought that discography button everywhere
You gave me the info, You were so kind
I think I must be related to the Judge who was blind

My quest goes on, It's more info I seek
I don't believe the situation is looking so bleak
I'll keep searchin', I'll keep huntin'
Until I find that elusive discography button

Mikie (The bikie)
As opposed to Mikey from Florida

Thanks for the replies guys.

Ah yes, if you go directly to the forums, you won't see the buttons on the left side. Of course to get to the forums in the first place, you had press the button just after the discography button. Oh what the heck. To see the Arlo entry, click me Of course, you still won't see the other entries unless you start from http://www.arlo.net but it's a start.
