The kids love Arlo!!!...We were riding in the car, with my girlfriend Ronda's 4 year old Grandaughter in the back. I put on Arlo's "Live In Sydney"...2nd CD. First tune of course, "Green Green Rocky Road"...
I sang along & after the tune she said from the back, "Mike, sing it again!"...So I rewound the CD & did it again....This went on for 7 times!!
Later that night, her momma called..."She's been singing this song & driving me nuts!!"...Sounds like she's singing, "Green Green Rocket Toad..."....We got a good chuckle out of that.... I just made a special CD for Ronda's Grandaughter..."Green Green Rocky Road"...24 times!!!!

Arlo's newest fan is Makenzie, & she loves to sing that song. At four years old.

Ronda & I have tickets to see Arlo again in Bloomington IN soon. We're planning the whole weekend around his performance. Let the good times roll!!!!

Peace, Love & Sweet Dreams,
MKF

Kids are so funny and wonderful. I have a couple "pseudo-nieces" who used to refer to Arlo as "Judy's friend Arno". Just wonderful! :)

Green Green Rocket Toad fits well into Arlo's wildlife song portfolio which of course also includes bringing in a Couple of Geese, a solo goose named Al, some mooses and of course clams of epic scale.

interesting concept there... but ya' gotta be careful, 'cause if you keep rewinding a cd, you might wind it too tight, and it could just spin off into space! then all it would play would be rocket man!
me? I just hit the replay button myself... 8)

hmmm... imagine having to rewind Alice's every time???

OK Arnie....I pressed the "fast back" button...& low & behold! We went through the 70's & came out in the 80's!...Yike's!!...Then I remembered why I was stoned most of the time in the 80's...
It's sooooo good to be alive & healthy in the 21st century...I took John Prine's advice & "Blew up my TV, Threw away the paper, Moved to the country, Built us a home. Planted a little garden, Ate alot of peaches, Raised a little family, Had a lot of children, & Let em' find Jesus on their owne...." Or something like that.

TV's a drag...MKF

Hey during the breaks between the 3 shows at Epcot this June, they had this raspy canned announcement. JC and I kept laughing because we agreed it sounded like this female voice was saying "Join us for flower power legend Arnold Guth-er-ie". Later kidding around with JohnC- I said "Hey John, when Is Arnold coming out?" And this guy next to me (who later turned out to be an idiot for other reasons) corrected me and and said "it's Arlo"

REALLY?????

PS - I absolutely LOVE Green green Rocket toads...

I just had a flashback! Now that some of youse on this thread have mentioned it sounds like but.... Back when I was 10 years old I heard on the radio for the FIRST time "Coming Into Los Angeles" I has camping with my folks sitting at the picnic table eating a bolonga sandwich and all of a sudden I heard this helium pitched voice singing "bringing in a couple of geese" I thought to myself "Who in the hell is this weirdo? Was that a lady singing that crazy song?"
Years later I saw Woodstock movie for the FIRST time in 1985 "Coming Into Los Angeles" was playing and towards the end of the segment Arlo was singing that song and heard him clearly "bringing in a couple of KEYS"
I said to myself "OMG!! That was the weirdo, hot damn!" For the LAST time I stopped intentionally and verbally calling Arlo a weirdo
