I went to a show anywhere from 10 to 15 years ago,,I can't really remember at a little place called Gruene Hall. I couldn't have been more than 12 or 13 years old, and I just remember listening Arlo on that stage and just being....just I don't even know, I can't really explain how much that it meant to me. I was the only youngen' at that show which wasn't much of a suprise to me,,all of my friends and peers were listening to metallica or whatever pop band was playing but I was a huge arlo fan,,unbelievably huge, I carried my fathers old alice's restaraunt record around with me everywhere, At that point in time my friends and classmates clowned on me about it, but I didn't care(nowadays they try to borrow my records from me!) I read in the paper of the show and was so excited, After much begging I was able to talk my parents into taking me. Walking in the door I see Arlo right there at the swag table y'know signging autographs and just talking what not,,,Awkwardly and shyly i asked for autograph which I do believe I was obliged, but then i slunk away embarassed and scared, but thrilled. I ran into Arlo again after the show, but once again too shocked scared bewildered to say anything....ANYWAY after all this rambling I just thought i'd say what I'd wish I had back then THANK YOU ARLO!!
You've kept a smile on my face and music in my heart for all these years.
