Just saw the Flower Power Concert list for Epcot and Arlo is not listed. Fortunately we had front row seats for the Newberry, SC show last week but now we have to figure out a new plan for the year. The Leaf Festival is out, family stuff requires us to travel north that weekend. Can anyone provide a few comments about the Birchmere in Alexandria,Va? Cheryl perhaps? Looks like we're going to have to travel a distance in order to get our Arlo fix this year.

The Birchmere is one of my favorite venues to go to. I've had seats all over the room, and there's not a bad seat in the house. The seats are at tables, and they have a good menu. Beer and wine are also available if you desire. Upon entry they do check the contents of any backpack, purse or bag for cameras or recording devices, but they don't check coat pockets or the pockets in your jeans.

Sue gave the best info. It's a great place to see him. If you wanna take pics sneak your camera in your pockets or pants lol. And take them without flash. This way you don't get caught. It's a good place to see him with good views, good times & good blunderites. You may also want to come to the Hampton, VA shows...

He'll be at the Birchmere November 7 and 8. Tickets are not on sale yet...usually they go on sale 6 mos. in advance.

To answer arlopug: Arlo was at Epcot from 06/02/06 to 06/05/06. This year the Flower Power concerts only run from 04/05/07 to 06/03/07. This year Herman's Hermit's is there from 05/31 to 06/03. The complete schedule is in the February edition of the Mickey Monitor newsletter which is mailed to Passholders by Disney.

Reg, I guess you're going to both shows? I'm still thinking about Durango. Got my tix for Santa Fe and Socorro. If I come up, it'll be almost 6 hours of driving. I'll only go for one show, tho.

Sounds like Birchmere would be a great place to see him. Problem is, I'll be in the area in Sept. But, maybe another trip for T-day w/ the folks in Nov? I've got to find something, I'm really going to miss not seeing him at EPCOT ( I think this is yet another reason I didn't renew my pass this yr!)
