I just found this I think for the first time and am not sure if it's no longer available or something that was posted awhile ago or already talked about. I remember when Arlo did the concert but don't remember hearing that a CD was made of the show. Maybe it's juat available for the APA :
Arlo Guthrie Live at APA: My Peace - CD

and
Pete Seeger Live - CD

This is an interesting little CD...it arrived with bent and torn liner notes, (????) and they've misspelled Gordon's name throughout...they think he's Gordon Gitcomb. Other than that, it's a great recording of a gig that was local to me that I couldn't attend, since it was only for people attending the psychology conference. It's got Riding Down the Canyon, Gypsy Davy, City of New Orleans (Joseph's Coat) This Land, Alice's and My Peace.
Ask Gordon about this gig sometime...!!

I remember Gordon wasn't too keen about doing that show cuz he thought they were gonna psychoanalize you or something. I had found out regular people could attend but to attend you had to pay the $100 some or $200 some $$$ a person to attend the convention. I didn't have that kinda dough. Sigh. Glad they put it out on cd for folks to enjoy...

Curious, why did they invite Arlo in the first place ? Do his stories at the show shed any light, did he goof on them ? ala room 604 ?

Sometimes he gets hired to do private gigs...this was one of 'em.
He goofed on them just a little...mostly it was stuff he does in the shows.

Shrink? I'd like to shrink my thighs...!

Thanks Sue,

I viewed that link for the APA from a google search in the past. I saw Arlo a few years back at Marlborough MA Middle School in a benefit (private show ? at least it seemed private....there weren't alot of folks there.........he didn't goof on the school or anyone else,.......but poets took a curve ball with a great Mooses Come Walking story) for the local
ARC. What a great show !

I wonder if Arlo gets any $ from the APA cd ?

That's curious about Gordon, did the band have to go through some kind of inspected, neglected, & selected process ?
