Good Sunday to You,

My name is Shane, I live in Toronto Onatraio Canada and I am very much looking forward to seeing Arlo at Massey Hall in October.

A freind and I were just at Massey Hall to see Ben Harper which helped feed the excitement for Arlo in October and then Neil Young in November.

With that in mind, we were thinking about possibiy bringing her daughter to see Arlo as her first concert! She is 6 and 1/2 years old and a very well behaved little Lady and thought Arlo solo at such a venue would be excellent for her!

I was hoping you could maybe give me some thoughts on bringing her or an idea of whether children do come to the shows...it seems like a great time for children (of all ages).

Just hoping to get a feel for what it may be like before we speak with the little Lady about it. Her mother and I are always going to shows without her and would loke share one with her.

Any thougts you may be able to offer would be greatly appreciated and if we can take here that will be grand.

The one thing I notice at Arlo shows is that I see kids of all ages...

We never had kids or grandkids, but one of the things we love about Arlo's gigs is the mix of ages, from tiny young ones to old ones and everything in between. Sometimes that's in the audience AND on the stage (but only in the audience this year, 'cause he's having a reunion with himself only onstage).

You should only bring kids to an Arlo gig if they are part of the present, should know about the past and intend to be part of the future.So.......YES!

Yes, Yes & Yes!! We got our Grandaughter Arlos CD for Kids & she loves it, Heck! We do too! Her fav song though is from "Live in Sidney". It's "Green Green Rocky Road" or "Rocket Toad" as she calls it. By any name, the Kids love Arlo! She'll be 6 next year & we'll take her for sure.

So enjoy the show! See it through her eyes, & it'll be MAGIC!!

Hey Goofus, why the caution tape? I never knew Gordon to be the least bit dangerous.

The kids will have fun at the shows...

I wouldn't just bring her because she would be well behaved and sit through the show. If she isn't having a really great time you will probly be more disappointed than her. On the other hand if you feel she would enjoy it, it will become one of your best memories and hers.
Personally, when our kids are young we limit it to festival settings where if they would rather dance, shop or just play in the grass everybody is still happy.

Larry, that picture was taken in the state of Washington, where folk singers are deemed to be extremely dangerous...

The state of Washington? I thought they were only considered dangerous in Washington D.C.? I mean some people wouldn't want folk singers making people think or nuthin'.

I dunno...you tell me...

I still maintain that caution tape and folksingers don't mix, unless of course the gig is at the whitehouse. What next? "Please don't feed the folksinger" and " Keep fingers away from cage, folksingers bite" signs?

actually I was thinkin' the caption would be "Please step away from the flower!!" or "Beware Folkslingers with loaded pens!"

Whew! I'm glad I read that twice, the first time I thought I saw an "i" in "pens" where it didn't belong!
