Arlo, Thanks for signing my 1969 Arlo greeting cards. I had them carefully stored for over 35 years. It was just before the show, I took them out to show my sister and decided since she was just as big a fan, I would give her one. Her suggestion was to bring them along and try and get them signed. This is not something we normally have the guts to do, but maybe the wine at break helped inspire us. The Show at Massey Hall was fantastic and it was great to meet you after all these years. I must say though, I thought I was your biggest fan in Toronto, but after meeting the little 8? year old boy with his mom named ARLO, I knew that I had competition. Little ARLO proudly told the other fans as he waited for your autograph, how proud he was of his name and how much he loved the "Pickle" song. Glad you got to meet him. He is a sweetie. That is so neat that there are kids named after him. I think he has a neat name...

Does this mean that Arlo has a "protege"? A next generation of Arlo?

My daughter, age 25, went to high school in Arkansas with a boy named Arlo.

I had an Aunt named Arlo whom I never knew her because she didn't care much for her husband's side of the family and my mother's name was Arlette-talk about confused. You can imagine my surprise when Arlo was emerging as a musical presence way back when and I found out he was a he.

That must have really held up the line, signing 1969 cards. That's almost 2000!

If I had my way I would have named my boys, ARLO, BOB and NEIL (Young). But just as well that I didn't, especially with the younger one. He's into Rap and would be called 50 cent or slim shady.

There was a young kid- maybe 12ish - playing beautiful music on a violin while standing next to a tree and in front of the Hudson River at last years Clearwater Festival. His name is Arlo.

My daughter - had she been a boy was to be named Kristofer (Kris) after guess who? LOL

Paul was always going to be Paul - long before the probability of there ever being a Paul.

Max is a great name! My grandson, 7 years old, is named Alec but he said he's going to change it to Alex-because that's what most people call him anyway! Alec also said he'd like to have an imaginary friend, but he doesn't know where to get one.

My oldest used to tell people that he was named for Eric Clapton. I told him that it made his parents look like idiots, so he finally stopped

We have a niece who is a big Eric Clapton fan. She named one of her sons Eric after him.

I don't think for a minute that made you look like idiots! On the other hand, if you had a kid in the last 7 years or so and named him George Walker.............

Oh, it was just the way Eric was saying it... and that it would have made a lot more sense had we named him Arlo. I have a friend who named her son Jerry. As for George Walker... LOL
