Got a vinyl copy of Outlasting the Blues on the floor in the lobby of my
recording studio. It gets more good comments from customers than
anything else in the place.

I love the line, "And I don't know why I'm singing tonight. Maybe its time someone told you, just because you say you've seen the light. Doesn't mean nobody sold you." I think its about the hippies turning on to the born again movement of the 70's.

Sun when we were coming home from church, Mike was playing Which Side Are You On By Arlo on his walkman & he started speaking in toungues like a pentecostal. He picked up the ability to speak in tongues after going to a church tent revival put on by the penticostal church his cousin went to. I asked him to translate for me what he said in tongues & it was neat.

They had the annual church Thanksgiving dinner at church Sun nite. Mike was getting a pickle & he started singing I Don't Wanna Pickle. This lady who went to school when I did but was 1 grade above me at my school asked what that was. We explained it was an Arlo Guthrie song. She'd never heard of it. We asked if she knew who she was & she didn't. I said I would thought she'd have known who Arlo was since she's only a yr older than me. She thought the song was hilarious tho...
