Does anyone know if Arlo's set be shorter than the one he did on his solo tour? Hopefully, I'm assuming wrongly that it will be shorter, as he has The Burns Sisters on the bill.

Thanks!

Paul

I don't think it's possible for any of us to know anything about the Lost World Tour set length or set list until they go out and start performing.
The best way to find out is to buy tickets and go to a concert in this next year!!

Didn't know he had the Burns sisters on the bill. Thanks for the info. With shows that have other acts, he has to have time for them to sing too. These days all shows fly by so fast. So does time lol... :)

Paul, that's some fancy celery-time footwork.

I can't WAIT to see the new tour--we've seen the Burns Sisters onstage with Arlo at WoodyFest and all we want is more, more, more!!!!

I've got my tickets for 2nd night at The Manship Theater in Baton Rouge again but I'm trying to find info on how to get tickets to the show the next night at McNeese State University and it's not showing up anywhere. The only reason I knew about The Manship Theater and was able to get tickets already is because I got a pamplet in the mail and the only tickets they are selling now is to people buying tickets to at least 3 events so I bought 3 events to get great seats to Arlo...lol I'd drive to McNeese if I can get good seats so I really want to know when those tickets go on sale. I hate seeing concerts listed here and not being able to find out how to get tickets! lol

LoL!
Well that's important stuff don'tcha know! 8)

@ Hubby's last gig, they wanted their first set to be an hour and a break after that. I was the timer. Played their lil hearts out, then off the stage they went. I said: "I thought you were going to play for an hour before you took a break?" Them: "How long was that?"

Me: 22 minutes! :D

ROTF! Guess they were nervous and flew through the set like it was on fire!

I'm getting my tickets for this little place in Brownfield Me. he'll be there in Nov. It's a small place and you can eat and drink there, all seats are great seats. It reminds me of the coffee houses I use to see Arlo at in RI when he did the Newport Folk Fests some 30++ years ago (wow time just keeps going). I haven't see the Burns Sisters before but I know they'll have to be good. The Mammals were great when they were with hime a couple of years ago.

The Burns Sisters were with Arlo on the City of New Orleans tour after Katrina so I saw them in New Orleans. They're great!

OK,.....set time ? How about set list ie: any more obscure tunes coming out with the new line up........like how about Days Are Short,.....or I Want To Around,......or......fitting the times,.....Hard Times. By the way what does the grandson play ? I saw him on a drum set at one time but I'm sure he is proficient at other instruments,.......3 generations of Guthrie. Woody must be very proud. Carry the coal !

Ok. OK..... I guess I shouldn't have opened the can of worms! :D

Wifey, son & I are going to see Arlo in Oakville, Ontario on Oct. 24th. This is my 11 year old's first "adult" concert. He has seen a number of Broadway plays, but has never been to a folk or rock show. He has told me a few times, "Dad, I can't wait for the Arlo Guthrie concert!"

One of his favourite stories is "Remembering Alice" from the Australia discs. He giggles every time he hears it.

I've been listening to "Alice" since it came out, yet my guy knows virtually every word to the beast and I still stumble through the chorus!

Arlo, if you see a young 'un in the 2nd row mouthing the words to "Alice" or "The Motorcycle Song", that will be my boy!

Paul
