Arlo or Somebody can you answer this question? I am curious, when I was at Arlo's concert in Lowell, MA he was playing this blue acoustic guitar. I was really impressed with the sound of this guitar and was wondering if anyone new who the manufacturer of this guitar was and what the specs were on it?

What I was wondering if this guitar was one of the new Carbon-Fiber guitars? All I know is that I had fell in love with the sound and tonality of the guitar. Couldn't stop thinking of it and had to ask.

From the few glimpses I've had of that blue box I believe it is a carbon fiber. I played one at my local guitar shop and was extremely impressed with the sound quality and the action. Plus, they're waterproof , practically indestructable and are available in a million different colors!

I have been reading a lot about them (Carbon-Fiber guitars) but have yet to see one in the guitar stores around where I live. I really would like to pick one up and put it through its paces. Arlo's seemed to have a nice deep sound to it that resonated very well. Definately inspireing me to give it a consideration on my next guitar purchase. The fact that it is waterproof is an interesting fact to consider since I can't tell you how many time a beer has been spilled on and sparayed onto my guitar.

Arlo had commented on "Big Blue" in a thread about one of the gigs he'd played using that guitar...

"Big Blue" was made by Composite Acoustics in Louisiana. It's a great guitar especially as how you can virtually take it anywhere and not worry about the weather. http://www.caguitars.com/ will get you to their website for more info. It's their first 12 string :)

Wow... Thank you for the post. I checked out the website and there are two stores that carry these guitars in my state. They are a bit of a drive from me but I think that it sounds like a road trip this weekend. Can't wait to give it a try. Who knows maybe I will be commin' home with a new guitar this weekend.. I just got to uh send the wife off somewhere, kind of a diversionary tactic, while I check this guitar out and give in to falling in love with another guitar. :) Again thank you for directing me to the link.
