Arlo did a wonderful show last nite at Hampton. Sadly he had problems with his throat. I found out he couldn't do the show tonite. The show in being postponed until May. Thanks to Sue & Killer for keeping me updated on the show being changed & to the American Theatre for telling me the new dates when I called to find them out.

I found some articles on it online:

http://www.dailypress.com/news/dp-now-g ... ?track=rss And Another one:

http://www.dailypress.com/news/dp-now-a ... ?track=rss

Hope you're feeling better Arlo. Rest up these next few days & take it easy. Lots of tea with lemon & honey. And have a sweet valentines day!

He put on a great show Thurs nite. And what a trooper he was. I felt strong spiritual vibes from him. He had them bless his heart.

I think he might've sang these songs:

Chilling of the Evening
In The Shade Of The Old Apple Tree
The Motorcycle Song
Halewia Farewell
Cornbread, Peas and Black Molasses
Keys To The Highway
Coming In To Los Angeles
Pretty Boy Floyd
When A Soldier Makes It Home
In Times Like These
The City of New Orleans
Alabama Bound
Here's Looking At You
(I think he did a new song I'd never heard before)
His New Hymn
This Land Is Your Land
My Peace

Not sure about the order and there was an intermission and an encore. I had to look thru current set lists posted on here to refresh my memory.

If he had gone on & changed the Thurs nite show to another date, we would've understood. The main thing is that you are doing well & feeling good. From what I understood some blunderites were gonna travel quite a ways to go to this show. If anyone made it here to VA or partway here before finding out about the shows date being changed, we hope you had a good time enjoying our state anyway.

We had stayed overnite so we wouldn't have to drive an hr & 1/2 there & back 2 days in a row. We were gonna come on home tonite after the show. So now with no show to go to, we came on home but first we went to the oldies record store in Hampton. Bought a few 60's albums. And ate dinner. So we got a nice show Thurs nite with Arlo, seeing good folks like Sue, Killer, Petie & Martha and going to the record store.

But just some info for those who might not know about the show postponements.

Happy Valentines day Arlo & get well soon! We love you and hope you had a good time in VA anyway...

Hope the folkslinger gets better in time for his Florida tour; I hope to see him in Mt. Dora on 2/28 (two weeks from tomorrow).

Sounds like Arlo got a different kind of present on this trip to Europe. (Virus flying all around the plane ... chickens are a lot more fun). Very best wishes for a speedy recovery--soak up that Florida sunshine and get well!

Also, my condolences to those who were traveling to Va. and SC for the shows. I hope your trips are still a lot of fun, in some unexpected ways.

I think he sounded worse than he felt...it was all in his throat~!

Going home early was okay...I arrived home to a husband who was very glad to see me, and we're having a nice weekend together instead of me being away.

I had a nice visit with some of my favorite people. Y'all know who you are! It was a great little trip in the middle of winter...at a time when we were having some of VA's mild early springlike days that we get...all you needed was a light jacket or a sweatshirt. Perfect weather!

Today, they're predicting rain, 40's down to low 30's, possible snow. But, my daffodils are peeking up out of the ground about 2". Spring is coming! And I didn't have to spend 80 hours standing on my feet this week with a flower knife in hand, making up hundreds of vases of roses.

A folkslinger without a voice is like a president without a brain. Since we seemed to have corrected the president problem, I suppose we can aim the blundervibes at the folkslinger now! Feel better quick!
