Maybe this has been discussed many times here, but I could not find a search tab, and so I will ask...
I notice that the version of Coming into Los Angeles in the movie is not the same as the album. My first thought was he played twice or he maybe ended his set with it again, but so far I have not found proof of either... so why is it different ??

There's a search in the upper right hand corner below the date and Arlo...

I had noticed this too & been wondering about it. I noticed in the movie, it sounds slower. I wonder if maybe when re-mixing the sound to the movie if they goofed up on it & made it slower. Just wondering...

I seem to recall Arlo saying something like when they first made the movie, something happened so they either didn't have the film or the sound was messed up or something, so they used a recording of him singing "Coming Into LA" from somewhere else, and only show him singing from a distance, no close ups, and show scenes of people doing drugs instead. I could be wrong, though.....

I don't know how many of us got the 40th anniversary set, but that includes the version of "Coming into LA" taken from Woodstock and is neither the version from the movie or the original soundtrack. This new uncovered version had a mic problem all the way up to the Lone Ranger part of the song. So I can see why this version wasn't used for the movie or original album. As for why the other 2 versions were different, I don't know except maybe they needed a shorter version for the album than the movie.

Thanks for posting that. The slow movie version. I remember Arlo at a gig once commenting that in the movie they had all these folks smoking pot while he was singing when they should've been showing him. LOL. I forget what show it was as I've been to so many...
