Simply because ADG is in Tonder/Denmark - where a friend who came to Mariposa this year, from Celle, Germany, to see Buffy St. Marie, is now in Tonder this weekend to see, among others, but first & foremost - Arlo!!!(3-1/2hr.road journey from Celle to Tonder)
Winnipeg had the luxury of Arlo in '09 - and, through his love & spirit & kinship --- especially watching Pete's 90th @ Mad.Sq.Gdn --- could bring that "home".
Many yrs. ago - Arlo was @ Mariposa(Molson Park), along with Taj Mahal, John Prine, Bonnie Raitt, the late John Allan Cameron, to name but a few & told a few of us, while his "bus driver" waited (im)patiently, the story about "border crossing", right down to the last detail.
Mariposa Memories --- are not always "photo-doc'd". - one just has to close their eyes and open their heart - to truly see & hear the music.
