I posted this story on Jim Amash's MySpace page and he suggested I retell it here. Hopefully, it'll bring a smile or two.
I've always loved the folk side of music, so Arlo was an instant hit with me. I was in college when the Alice's Restaurant movie came out and three or four of us went to see it. About 20 minutes into the film, the screen went white and then there were multiple colors flashing over and over again. This went on about a minute, then back to the movie. Of course, this was the later 1960s, so we assumed that was a bit of psychedelic fun that Arlo was having with his film. As we walked out, all of us commented on how cool that short "light show" was in the middle of the movie. It wasn't until maybe 20 years later, when I saw the film on TV that I realized that was no psychedelic happening in the film, but probably a problem with the projector. Had to laugh, but still thought it was cool.

That was a pretty neat story. Welcome to the site! I remember once yrs ago when watching a movie at the theatre, the movie goofed up and stopped and they had to go & fix it and start it back up again. LOL...
