Just home from Arlo's gig at the Picturedrome Holmfirth in West Yorkshire UK, the concert was amazing loads of songs we have not heard Arlo sing before with plenty of old favorites which resulted in the packed audience giving a standing ovation to Arlo at the end. As Arlo said he found a place he hasn't played before and hopefully will return to , thanks Arlo for sharing your amazing songs and stories with us Yorkshire is looking forward to you visiting our wonderful county again.

Hey Brian and Rosie,
It's so great to hear how Arlo's show was received from fellow Yorkshire Folks. By the sounds of things it was Brilliant.
I certainly hope the Folkslinger does go back because I am returning to Yorkshire in November for an undefinitive stay.
my brother and his partner live in Doncaster, South Yorkshire so there is always room for me. I have only been back in Canada well over a year ago and I miss walking on the Dales and just feeling that is my home.
In May 2009 I had a spare tickets to one of Arlo's shows and asked my brother in law if he would like to come with me. Oh, he was right chuffed that I asked. We had an amazing time. He had asked me if Arlo ever plays in the U.K. and I just said "If you want him there, all you have to do is invite him". I'm happy Yorkshire invited him.
thanks again.

Hi , good to hear you intend to relocate in Yorkshire, we love Canada and the States but enjoy living in the best English county with all the riches which surround us. The coastal towns of Whitby Robin Hoods Bay and Scarborough are gems with the contrasting Yorkshire Moors and Dales offer such diversity. The 24 hour city of Leeds houses the Famous City Varieties what a wonderful place that would be for an Arlo concert perhaps 2011 will be the year for Arlo to appear there although last nights venue the Picturedrome in Holmfirth will take some beating. Hope your move back to Yorkshire goes well and you settle back ok.

Thanks for the report.

It's so good to hear that Great Britain's citizens still know what's what when it comes to music.

Just sayin'...

Not just music, but shows as well. Garth Marenghi's Darkplace was amazing.

Brain, great gig at Holmefirth, took two friends from patley bridge down and my wife, who is more classical/ambiant music fan, never opening the "hippie" C.D. drawer. We all really enjoyed the night, even my wife says she would love to see him return to Yorkshire. Hopefully he enjoyed himself enough that he may. :)
