Any memories of what you may have been doing 42 years ago on this date? :D

I know I was hearing about two things on the radio. Some concert somewhere and hurricane Camille. On the 17th I was helping load everything you can imagine for relief into dump trucks to go to Mississippi and Louisiana.

To quote Wavy Gravy (I think) as Arlo has said. If you remember the 60's you weren't really there. Happy Woodstock anniversary! :)

I was 16, very innocent and clueless. I remember it as a really fun summer, and remember when Woodstock was happening, watching the reports on TV.

I was 12 and a half.
It's ok for not responding to this question Arlo, if I had been there, I probably would not remember either. :)
So, in a way, I'm glad I wasn't there, so I can remember it.

I wasn't born for 2 more years.

I live about 1/2 hour from Bethel and get over there whenever I have the cash for a concert at Bethel Woods.

A couple of years ago on the 40th anniversary, I was fortunate enough to see Arlo along with Richie Havens.

Richie played first and signed autographs after his set. What blew my mind was that he did it in a windstorm! There were table umbrellas blowing all over and tables being knocked over, yet he stayed and shook hands, took pictures and signed autographs for what seemed to be about 300 people. I thought for sure I'd miss out but he buckled down and stayed out there right to the last person on line. I got his autograph but, sadly, didn't bring my camera! It was awesome to meet him none the less.

I saw Richie live once at Wolftrap with Arlo. Both he and Arlo were nice to folks after the show. It was nice to meet him and see Arlo again. So many memories.

I was 3, I had no idea what was happening in the world I devoted myself to Playskool and Fisher Price....too bad Fisher Price did not come up with Woodstock little people with a big field, cows, the stage, and a barn door that opens playing Fixin' To Die Rag :D
