I can't drive and even if I could my other half has MS, so would have difficulty making a long jurney anymore like we did in the "T.A.R.D.I.S." (The van with the mural on it). We have an outdoor amphitheatre and a renovated theater used for stuff like concerts, dances, etc. Sandy Patti lives a few miles from me. These are mostly country type folks here and would love to hear you play. There's even a horse race track with a casino.

Just a thought. I'm sure they'd roll out the red carpet, maybe even install a brick with your name and a gold star on it.

Forget I mentioned it. Why on earth would you want to do a concert where some crackpot "Professor Whizbang" might buy a couple tickets... God forbid that creepy, nutjob would even think of inviting one of his long favored felloe artists back to his crib for a beer or such and to show and tell about wind generators, light amplification energy systems, propanol generators and magnetic plasma deflectors. God forbid there just might arise some creative thinking enough to take a message to the people on this planet to show a new idea to save lives before they get pummelled by tornadoes, hurricanes traveling toward New York, quakes and tsunamis causing containment breaches in reactors and all that. God forbid such a legend would lower himself to visit some absent minded, eccentric that somewhere acquired a notion that gasoline contained alcohols. God forbid that such a nasty, evil hack would ever find people liking HIS work. It makes no sense that such a monster would even be worthy to enjoy some of the legend's work. It makes no sense...

Now you're just being silly and feeling sorry for yourself. And why are you directing this at Arlo? I haven't seen where he weighed in on any of this stuff yet, or did I miss something? For all I know, he may agree with you and call us a bunch of sh*t-heads.

Then I imagine it would be blundering to say that I'm not feeling sorry for myself, but for some of the people I came to simply share a message with. Just a sigh, because I'm still this voice in the wilderness. I know Arlo has taken up some causes in the past for the betterment of people. I had hoped I might have found a like mind possibly willing to help pick up the pieces of some shattered lives around this planet and maybe convey new ideas about science, and architecture especially, to prevent more lives from being equally and so suddenly brought to their knees.

"For information regarding booking Arlo, please send e-mail to annieguthrie@risingsonrecords.com."

I think the deal is, the way it works is you've got to get a venue in your town to initiate the contact. From what I've heard, the venue makes the first move by "inviting" ADG, and it goes from there.

I'll talk to our town people about it. We have a renovated theatre "The Paramount" where some acts you wouldn't expect turn up.

Ask they and suggest they bring him. Maybe they can get him to come. Sounds like somewhere he would play. :)

While we're on the subject of Arlo, does he have an autobiography?

You mean exceptin' "Alice's.....?" :D Not that I am aware of. I think he stays too busy to write one. But I would suggest "Arlo, Alice, & Anglicans" by Laura Lee (where is that girl? She's around here somewhere...) for a great history of the church, and the song, and the movie, and a bunch of stuff about Arlo. Great book!!!
