Hello everybody,
just got back from Tonder Festival in Denmark. 3 days together with Cecile from arlonet full of fantastic music. Hand made music they call it. A chance to hear a lot of great musicians. Saturday night we had the chance to attend Sarah Lee and Johnny's performance at a venue called the old watermill. A nice little old place where the very small stage is as close to the viewers as it could be. Sarah Lee and Johnny had the house going. They are wonderful.
The festival ended Sunday night at the main tent with an evening with the Guthrie family performing Woody songs. This was so wonderful I cannot put in words what I felt. They all fit together so well and the whole tent was rocking. Singing along, clapping, standing ovations. I did not want for it to end but eventually we had to go home. One sentence from Arlo is still in my mind. He said it after Sarah Lee had finished singing wonderfully and the audience clapped so long that it became a rhythmic clapping like for an encore (you know what I mean).
He said: "When I first came to Tonder I came as Woody's son, now I am here as Sarah Lee's father."
Good night everybody.
Love and Peace
Brigitte

We had a really great time in Tonder Festival, wonderful three days !
There was a warm and friendly atmosphere in the old watermill, it was an emotional moment when Sarah Lee sang this beautiful solo a cappella, just in front of the audience, and the day after with Arlo playing the guitar along.
I could not better describe what we felt, Brigitte and me, on this wonderful show on Sunday night.

Your welcome. The pictures are not very sharp. I have only a little camera and with low light and zoom it doesn't get better than that.
