Well, it's about a five hour drive for me on a good day. But if I knew you were going to be in Jax I would have made the drive and tried to get in. I'm sure it was a wonderful show for the vets. I know they appreciated you. God Bless

I came across an ar5ticle on that online and wanted to post it on here. But I lost the link and totally forgot all about it until you posted on here. Glad he was there for the vets.

The event in Jacksonville was really nice. Not a gig, just accepted an award from these great guys. They have things to teach us all, not simply about their experiences as soldiers, but about how to take care of each other when nobody seems to care. I was very happy to spend some time with these folks.

I would have driven 500 miles to see that too. It sounds like it was a very positive experience. It makes my heart happy to hear that.

Question: A lovely lady (MD) I work with just out of the blue arrived into work yesterday and gave me the loan of an LP: "Arlo Guthrie/Pete Seeger (with Shenandoah)- Precious Friend" (1982) which belongs to her dad. Well, today my darling wife and I listened, danced and sang along - what a lovely concert! It was recorded during July-Sep 1981. Is it on CD? LOL All most sounds like a vacation for you. I want to thank you for doing it ,I have 2 son in- laws both in the military(one Army +one Marine) and sometimes I'm not very happy with the way some people or the government treat them or their family's..
