So I received and email from my Grandson who is a Freshman at Appalachian State College in Boone NC. He is taking a course called the "History of Rock and Roll" and had his first class yesterday. He loves the Teacher but the first thing he was discussing was our fearless leader "Arlo Guthrie" and Alice's Restaurant". Now what is interesting is I took him on a trip up to the area a few years back and we stayed at the resort that was Cranwell. He was curious on how I found this area of the Country and told him about my Childhood and camping up there. We hit all the place's and walked Stockbridge of course showing him were Alice's was but we took a trip over to the Church also. Yes on the way up I play the Massacree so he knew it . Well evidently he got quit a few brownie points for knowing about it and having seen it. I'll find out who the Professor is but his Mother who I took up there just in June texted me and just said "Alice's Fricking restaurant " can you believe it? We are all laughing at this and when I play it again at Thanksgiving as I always have it will now have a new meaning for a different generation in my family.
