I just got the new CD and Arlo has EVERY reason to be a VERY PROUD DAD!!! What a WONDERFUL CD!! She has a beautiful voice and she and Johnny sound so in tune together!! WOW!! Thanks Sarah Lee and Johnny!

I was thumbing through the Country/Western section of our local music shop - down here in Melbourne, Australia - looking under artists with the surname "B" & lo and behold - there is the cd "Exploration" - which should have been in the Folk/Rock section under "G".

Now i figured that I was meant to buy that CD as I wouldn't have found it if I was looking for it - I'd only find it if it was lookin' for me. Spooky!

I've had this CD for about a week now, and I've almost worn it out already. Good stuff. The production quality is such that it it still very organic and real, which is what I like. Sarah Lee and Johnny both give some great perfomances. Although it's clear that this is a Sarah Lee and Johnny record, one can hear *some* influences in performance, writing and production from the likes of Arlo, The Beatles (heavy on George Harrison) and of course Neil Young who Johnny gets compared to alot.I'm sure I'll hear more as I get into it more.Johnny gets back to his rock roots a bit when they rock up "Gervais" a bit, and it sounds like he likes it!(me too) It's been great over the past few years to see and hear Sarah Lee grow and mature as a performer, and to have a voice that comes from someplace other than just vocal cords. Although the pipes ain't bad either! I like in particular when Sarah Lee hits those high notes and her voice sort of evaporates into a ghostlike sonic mist,it's there, and it's not, but it fills your ears so pleasantly.
The only thing I don't understand is why they didn't have that guy turn off his cell phone when they recorded "Holdin' Back" ? ( Just kidding, you have to listen for yourself)
