Some of you may recall an "old" missing thread called "10th of January" which evolved into a discussion about night strolls to the bathroom and Arlo discussing the significance of the number 420 in all its variatins.

Today my daughter wished me a happy National Pot Smoking Day. I gave her a blank stare and she responded, "today's 4/20." So I immediately was reminded of this thread, which I've decided to take upon myself to ressurect.

Next time Arlo says something that I don't understand, I'll be sure to ask my daughter!

So, to all... Happy NPS Day!

CAn't think of a better way to spend the afternoon than to be sitting in seat 46C on my deck!! (or is it 45C or 44C??) (Someone WILL correct me if I got the seat wrong!!) Senior moments come and go these days. See ya at the church!

Arlo? Someone's got a question for you! Dave, I think that's how we found out about it in the first place... Arlo explained it (in a kinda round-about sorta way, if you know what I mean?)...

I've read a couple of theories from D = 4th letter of the alphabet and T = 20th letter of the alphabet.... DT = Doobie Time. hahaha.
I would love to hear Arlo's explaination for 420.
I can't wait to get off work and celebrate and indulge myself in the festivities.

Not to go off subject or anything, but speaking of Canada. Seems some city residents have taken down the American flag and replaced it with one of the Maple leaf. Go Canada. It's an auful day and age when a Viet Namn Vet takes down his American flag, and replaces it with that of our neighbor. Canada.

The land of the free. Home of the brave.

Don't require a special day. Is there a special hour??? ralmao

Like my ol friend used to say, here's some stuffin's for the puffin

Oh Canada (I forget the rest of the song goes)... We used to sing it in 6th grade chorus. Along with Woody Guthrie. If only my old music teacher played guitar instead of the suit-case organ.....

Lay down little doggies lay down

Used to hate that song with passion, untill my girlfriend bought me Washington County in the 8th grade....It made me wish I could go back in time, and play Arlo's version for Mrs. Wilson...

In hindsight she was a wonderfull woman, trying her best to teach not only the music, but the heritege behind the music... Like anyone is gonna listen in the 4th grade.

I can still hear her out of pitch voice singing Leadbelly... OUCH!!!!

i'm closin' this puppy down, and suggest you search just a little bit harder to find a recent topic - use the SEARCH button and type in a word or two that you remember... it really works!

Meanwhile - if you're interested - see the referenced topic over in Setlists and Show Reports:

Thanks!
