I was on the phone on hold with Staples today, and lo and behold, the music playing was City of New Orleans. I never expected to hear Arlo there. But it was the nicest time on hold that ever I've had

Are there any places that you've heard Arlo and never expected to?

I've heard him in different stores over the PA system. Pretty neat!

I recently discovered Arlo and his music, at 19 years of age, and I've been listening for it in public places ever since. I haven't had any luck so far. I'm surprised that he gets such little air time. I guess they don't want us young folks to hear "Alice's Restaurant" and get any ideas.

...well every now and then you'll get folks to talk about their arlo coincidences.....hearing a song like CD....or seein' somethin guthrie related at some pivotal life moment, or finding a record or somethin'....it's often been a blunderer discussion that i've heard.....so if you are a blunderer just stay open to it and you'll have your own stories real soon....

...the middle of one night a few years ago i was on my way to the ER by an ambulance....from the stretcher i looked up at the TV and who's face was there....but the folkslinger, talkin about Jim Croce.....didn't know whether to be encouraged or not....but it all worked out okay.....so there you go....

...last night i was dreamin of visitin some friends in the woods somewhere....we were walkin by a big ol house and plain as could be was Arlo's voice and a group of others....rehearsing.... a Beatles medley.....now that's strange, but gave me a good laugh in the mornin'.....
