Hey adg, Great to see Live in Sydney avaliable!!! I've been hangin' out for it . (since I can't get itunes) Man....... whoever designed the cover is a genius!! The map of OZ, that iconic Luna Park mouth, and the star on Sydney.......and I love the little stage!! I mean, even without the writing on the cover, people would know where you recorded this one!

I want to get this one at the next show the Birchmere. This means I won't be able to get the new re-releases or Gordons new cd for awhile. So much stuff & too little $$$... :)

Cheryl, my suggestion would be to get Gordon's since you haven't heard it yet... and get Arlo's at the following show. I think you'll be very pleasantly surprised by Gordon's CD.

How cool to see that Live in Sydney is available!!!

I'd love to buy one, but I can't, as the latest installment of Dylan's Bootleg Series is coming out this month, too.

Just kidding. Thought I'd try to make ya'll spit out your iced tea when you read that.

Here's a serious question: Any mail ordering info? I can't find it at the Rising Son site. I prefer to mail order than order on line. I don't like sending credit card numbers over the internet (yeah, I know the site is secure, but I still don't like it) & I'm kind of a fumbler when I try to do most computer tasks that are routine to other folks. Before I know it, I will have ordered 10 copies of Rosemary Clooney's Greatest Hits & I won't know how it happened.

The most recent Get Stuff catalog I have laying around shows the mailing address is PO Box 620, Stockbridge 01262. Postage would be $5 for a $29,50 CD. Is this still the case? Anybody know?

LOL... Dylan for sure!!!

Try http://www.risingsonrecords.com/contact/ for the contact info.. if you're cool about phone orders, I think you'd reach T-Shirt Cathy at the number listed there.... and the mailing address in Sebastian FL is there too....

Hey Arlo, is that big guy on the cover that seems to be eating you guys on stage the Sydney referred to in the title? Is this like a Jonah thing? Say hi to Jimminy Cricket if you see him in there for me. :? :D

Thanks, Wyld. I went the phone order route & my CD's will be here by Friday. Cathy even threw in 10 free copies of Rosemary Clooney's Greatest Hits.

And the new Dylan stuff will be out Aug. 30. To borrow one of his song titles: "Can't Wait"!

I just got my copy of Live in Sydney, and it is just wonderful--about the next best thing to being at a show. The sound is great, and 2 of my favorite songs (St. James Infirmary and Portland Town) are on it, so I am one happy camper. This one will be in my car CD for quite awhile!!!
As always, Thanks Arlo, for all that you do.

Like you Joe, I don't trust using my card over the net, I've never purchased anything on line TIL NOW.
I have complete faith in RSR and T-Shirt Cathy so I have lost my on line ordering viginity.
I ordered it 2 days (Wed the 10th) before I went on vacation thinking that when I got back on the 20th it should be just about there!
But I called home last night from where I'm stayin' in this old gold town, out in the desert, hundreds of miles from home and was told that there was a package that had arrived on Tues.
Well of course my dearest had to tourture me by describing it as a flat square package from a person whose name begins with C ( of course we all know it really begins with T) and who works for a place whose name begins with R.
'Course I was so excited I told him to open it but he (being a wise and caring person) said no, it would be more fun for me to open it myself when I get home.
So now I gotta get on a train tomorrow (Sat) arvo and ride for 22 hours to get home to open my Live in Sydney (and of course to see my beloved).
What a great way to end my vacation before I go back to work next week!!!!
I'm sure it will bring back lots of wonderful memories as it will be similar to the Brisbane show which I attended.
Sorry to rave on (must be the desert air) but because we can't get iTunes here yet I have really been hangin' out for this.

P'S' Speaking of the Luna Park mouth Larry......there is a Luna Park in Sydney and in Melbourne. Am I mistaken Larry, or adg, or Wyld... is there a Luna Park or a something at Coney Island with that mouth????
Or am I dreaming (or been astrotravelling again?)

I got mine last week and have been enjoying the hell out of it. Left it in Regina's car and haven't seen it since!

Mine arrived yesterday. Just kidding about the Rosemary Clooney stuff, but they did throw in a tattoo.

I played the 1st disc last night. Good to hear what an Arlo show is like these days, as he hasn't been to Pittsburgh since '01 (HINT!).

The Rising Son packaging is always great, & I like getting the lyrics, but I'm not sure I like getting the words to the stories. It'd kinda spoil 'em to read along with 'em, so I don't do that. I guess that's the solution, don't do it...

I'm listenin' to it right now.Bringing back great memories. So Abe is responsible for the cover design. It's so Iconic and a nice change from the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. Great.
If you look on the east coast of the map, on the back of the booklet , the highest spot he visited in Queensland is Brisbane. That's where I saw him (I live an hours drive north).
What strikes me, as it did at the concert, is the quality, purity of the music, being live and all. Beautiful. Like now with Haleiwa Farewell...makes you feel like cryin' it's so beautiful.
Live concerts and recordings sure sort out the real musicians from the others.
Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! the runway sniffin' guy..... 36C!..........all this laughing is a good way to end my vacation!~ Back to work tomorrow!
