Anybody know when the last time this song was done. That mixed with Arlo's antics is nearly addictive to me. I have played it time and again, many times back to back.

Arlo if you are seeing this PPLLEEAASSEE!! consider doing this one once again. Namely at Roanoake, VA. No, I'm not the nut that hollared out Freebird there at the Civic Center a year or two ago. This is my first request ever.

Also, thanks so much also for using the Jefferson Center instead of the Reichstag (Roanoake Civic Center)

I remember that dude yelling out play Freebird lol. Awhile back we were talling someone about how that was one of the shows we'd went to where someone yelled out "Play Freebird". Maybe Arlos learned how to play it by now. I think he did "Walking Down The Line" at a show I went to but I can't remember which one it was. After this many gigs the memory goes south lol. I hope the Jefferson Center is less Nazi like...

I suppose if you go "walkin' down the line" long enough, you might reach the end of the line. But I also suppose, you could always turn around and go back.....but then that might be "walkin' up the line". ? I hope this helps, but I doubt it does.

Hey Larry, what are you trying to do give Arlo a fresh, new idea for "Walking Down The Line"? Your post sounds like something that might have been said during the song at one time. Between Walking Down The Line and Running Down The Road maybe Arlo was not walking down the line at all. Maybe he was Sitting By The Highway. Maybe not? Or maybe he was Going Down That Road Feeling Bad with Old Joe Clark, Pretty Boy Floyd, and the Jolly Banker while drinking Rye Whiskey and looking for a Greenback Dollar.

Like I said on another thread I looked at the setlists in the tape section of this site and my song seems to have kind of lost action in the eightees. I think I saw it twice. Before that it seemed to be pretty common. I don't know what the big curiosity is. Just a great tune. Hell written by Dylan and performed by Arlo its got to be good.

No help at all. What a gift. I play and try to sing and I still find it jaw dropping when a natural like Arlo does his thing. Some people actually don't get it. I mean the stories. I brought a friend to a show once who was only vaguely familiar with Arlo's work and he made some comment about how guitar players are supposed to play and sing. "this guy talks all the time"

He could not seem to grasp that dialouge was part of the show, the magic. I think there are a lot of folks like that in today's neurotic society. Many seem to be so utterly narrow minded with a very short attention span. Anybody know what I'm talkin about?
