This is part of an email I sent to my Father tonight. I thought maybe some fellow Blunderites could dig what I'm sayin. Here goes:

Well, thank God help has arrived in New Orleans. I actually had thoughts of just driving down there while purchasing Army MRE's (c rations) at every Army surplus store along the way. By the time I would get there (2 days) I should have a good sized truckload for the anxiously awaiting bellies of human beings, AMERICANS.

Only difference between me and the Army is I don't have access to bombers that could drop government food by the tons and bill it to the people (remember WE THE PEOPLE). What a chance for good Army training as well. They can carpet bomb people and cities with life saving supplies and pretend that its real killing! Everybody could gain and no one could lose (their life).

Thank God once again that the powers that be had time to come up with a better plan before a little truck without jet engines could get there.

Its funny how advanced we think we are, how secure, maybe even superior we think we are in our automated, informed, creature comfort laden lifestyles. Its not as funny when we see the evidence unfold before our eyes that from a simple survival standpoint we are on a razors edge of being as helpless as an infant. Food for thought... End
