Speaking at a meeting of organized labor last week in Chicago I found myself repeating (and attributing) Arlo’s discourse that concludes with the assertion that in troubled times we don’t have to do much to make a positive contribution. Afterwards, a man came up to me and told me that Arlo had changed his life. It seems a couple of years ago he was at a show where Arlo said “if just one person starts playing the banjo, this evening will be a success”. Well this guy went out the next day and bought himself and banjo and began teaching himself to play it. I thought in these troubled times Arlo might enjoy knowing that he changed a life with just 14 words.

That is a neat story. I remember someone writing on here once that they & their brother had been to one of the Arlo shows I'd been to & the brother had a drinking problem. But the brother after going to the show decided to change his life & hadn't drank since. Arlo does change lives... :)

This Brother you're reffering to was probably horrified by the vision of chicken flying around the plane.

.....(I remember seeing similar stuff, back in my drinking days).
