Does anyone know how I can get tickets for the Carnegie Hall concert on Nov.26th before they go on sale to the general public? By that time they tell me every year that all the orchestra seats are bought by the producers. Thanks very much.

to expand on that idea (become a member...) you also should live within a certain radius of the venue... I don't think they go sending out announcements about Carnegie shows to folks in Houston for example... (although I'm certain the folks in Houston would love to get that mail!)
And if I remember arlo explaining it one time, there are other lists that are maintained, when you sign-up at a show for example, that is kept separate from GC membership list...

now, did that help at all???

I've been a member of the Guthrie Center for 3 years and for some reason, I never get advance notices!!! :( I've mentioned it to George. Just like when the notices went out about the tickets for the fall revival ... I never got one!! I feel like the forgotten one!! :?

Tickets go on sale to the public next saturday(10/1/05). Got the chance to go a few years ago and had a great time. Was planning to go this year but the price and supply of gas may keep me at home.

We won't be going either as NYC is so far away. I noticed it said by your name you're from Mechanicsville, VA. My cousin Jason Mraz the singer is from there but now living in San Deigo & I was wondering if you knew him. One of my other cousins & an Aunt still live there. Jason & my other cousin like Arlo too which is neat. I ahd nothing to do with that. I happened to ask them if they liked Arlo & they were like yeah we love him. It was like we all liked him but none of us knew the other liked him...

Don't know Jason myself but know of him. However my oldest son played in a local band(Devils Workshop) that got a chance to put down some tracks for one of Jasons LPs. But I don't believe it ever got used. One of his band mates got to play on a Sarah Guthrie CD. Small world isn't it.
