I think Arlo explains it that he walked into his house and found these guys hanging around and sleeping on the couches and what not...something like that

The first show I saw at the Guthrie Center a few years back was RIG (Rodriguez, Irions, Guthrie) so Tao was playing with members of the Guthrie family then, and I suspect long before that. I can't remember the first song they did, but I think it was one the Weavers did and boy, did they make me think "The Weavers - the next generation."

The first time I saw Tao perform with Arlo and Pete was in August 1988 at the Oakdale Theater in Wallingford, CT, and Tao was about 16 then, as I recall.

Judy, I also saw Arlo & Pete at the old Oakdale theater in Wallingford CT, but don't remember Tao. He probably wasn't in the spotlight much that night.

I didn't realize it was back in 1988, but son of a gun, I guess it was. I have a battered Clearwater poster that Arlo, Pete & Harold Leventhal signed hanging in my house from that night. Long time passes....

Bill, that show at the Oakdale was also the first time I ever heard Arlo perform "When A Soldier Makes it Home". Funny the things you remember.......

I saw him perform there at least one other time, at a festival which included Christine Lavin and Tom Rush, if I remember right......

I think Tao is on "More Together Again" recorded at Wolf Trap in the early 1990's...

If only we could get Arlo back to Connecticut, I would be a happy man.

The posted schedule for the rest of 2005 and the current 2006 schedule seems to have Arlo going everywhere BUT connecticut.....

Dave & Lorie, you have to get yourselves up to the Guthrie Center up in Housatonic. There is no better place to see Arlo, or anyone else for that matter and it isn't that far from Middletown or anywhere else in CT. You don't know what you're missing if you don't get up to the church. I can go on & on about what a wonderful place the Guthrie Center is, but I'll save that for another time!

Judy, I think Eric Anderson & Tom Rush were at that show too. I was there too.

Thanks Bill that sounds far out :) I will have to plan ahead to go there for the summer revival if there is going to be one. I was too late for the fall revival and speaking of which I will have to go with bellbottoms-my bells will be ringing and tie dye on and be part of a commune :D I sent out my membership money a little over a month ago and have not heard anything since I hope my membership is valid by now.
