Okay, so as I had stated I am TRYING to get the record albums it has taken me 2165987 million years to acquire ALL of on CD now....and so naturally I bought what was not out of stock from Rising Son....WELL, the package arrived and it was the IMAGE of good packaging....or someone's idea of a joke.........I was sitting in my car after working all night trying like HELL to get into the damn thing. First there is one of those envelopes you need something as sharp as a razor to open. THEN inside of that was a brown packaging envelope.....THEN an envelope INSIDE of that........THEN another white package like the first mentioned one........THEN FINALLY I got to the CDs. Well PART of them. The other part was wrapped and double wrapped in yet ANOTHER envelope you need a razor to get into. The looks on people walking by the car as I tried to get into that thing cussing and ripping was priceless....... :?

Hi Lenore,

I am sure they do have a sense of humour at RSR. My copy of Live in Sydney arrived yesterday - I ripped the package open and the cd just dropped out - but I was horrified to see that I had ripped through three 40th anniversary tour posters which had been kindly included with the order (don't tell Naga!). Maybe there are mini cameras there somewhere which send back the package opening comedy videos to the RSR people ....lol.

Oh they sure have a lot of humor there. When I received my package of Live in Sydney a few months back they had added a package of tomato seeds which will attract Mooses once they are planted. So I know when summertime comes I will be going to my mother's garden with great expectations.
But you know I have a lot of CDs on my christmas list and when they come I will be opening the package looking for my surprise. :D

My latest Rising Son order also came with a packet of Arlo Guthrie 1 ton tomato seeds. But ... ummm ... not sure whether to plant them or not. Are they really tomato seeds? Or - if they attract mooses - then maybe some of the seeds in there could grow into plants that used to be known as illicit substances! And what if there are no mooses in Aus to attract? Ya never know what might turn up in the tomato patch. :)

Roll up them seeds in some double-wide strawberry easy-widers, light 'em up, and see if they pop?

I just got my Arlo "Someday" CD and the best song is Russian Girls like totally gnarly like oh my gawd! This song rocks with an '80s new wave synthesizer beat cool beans dude! Guess what I got with my order? An Arlo action figure doll with a broken guitar string backed up with an adjustable ponytail to fight off enemies  No no no just joking
I did not get any seeds POOH!! I got something neat a post card of the Alice's Restaurant 40th anniversity tour concert poster. 8) Now that is a collector's item I am happy with it. I plan to save it for maybe 20 years or so and sell it on ebay if it still exists by then it will be called e-away.....things that make you go HMMMM!!!! Reminds me of a title of a dance song :)

Peace

It was my first order from RSR, and yes it was wrapped well and included a packet of "Growsome Weed" seeds. I was quite impressed with the service.

I'll make a deal with you I will trade you the "Growsome Weed" seeds for the post card. Since I don't want to send out the post card those seeds can send me off hurdling in space or hurling in space

Peace

Rising son Records, does make some blunders. But aye," we think it's stupid that's why we're here" (adg)

I know they made my day. I ordered a T and they sent two. I called, and explained to Cathy, what had happened. She apologized, and asked if I could just return it. I suggested to her, I liked the shirt so much, I wanted to keep it, and a cheque would be in the mail. She says kewl......

Months went by, and I forget to send the check. Rising son called me, to remind me, I owed them for the second T.... I appologized, explaining I had just lost my Mom, and my mind wasn't really up to par..... I got so many condolences.... I talked with Cathy and assured her, my Mom was almost 80 and she had a good life.... I sent the cheque out the next day. Two days later, I got a sympathy card from RSR, with packets of sunflower seeds, signed T-shirt Cathy, ntm: some of the staff signed it....

It was just a situation of circumstance. But you'll NEVER know the heartfelt feeling I felt..

I received my order today from Rising Son the Outlasing the Blues CD. A couple of weeks ago when I placed my order I wrote a comment in the box:
I was wondering if you had any more of the "Growsome Weed" seeds? I
would greatly appreciate it if I would get those with my order. I need to
get high in life if you know what I mean, my friend paid me a visit and
got me down, bad time of the month for it. LOL!!
Thanks!
Lorie
I received a response back written on my invoice:
Hope all of the seeds will cheer you up. Remember keep your eye on the ball-whatever it is for you! Good luck in the New Year!
Nicely done :)
I got 3 packages of seeds- Hippy Starter Kit, Growsome Weed seeds, and Rising Sonflowers with a cute drawing of the church on the front. Do Rising Sonflowers come from a nursery where baby boys are born and are grown?
....I totally adore this artwork. Who draws all of the illustrations on the seed packages?Totally awesome job :D I am curious... I'm never chucking or disposing these packages out not after all of the hard and dedicated work done to keep satisfied customers and fans like moi and millions of Arlo Fanatics 8)

Peace

I noticed something unusual this morning when I woke up and did a double take head turn on the Hippy Starter Kit because on the package there's warning sign, the girl in the pic has no nose she must have snorted those flowers too strong and disinigrated her nose ....Rising Son should offer a bonus with the Hippy seeds-Chia Nose  ......just joking beautious Rising Son groovy people

Rising Son are the best........I had a helluva time getting in the packaging as I said before, but everything was in great condition.....I got a CD from a shall be unnamed source yesterday and the jewel case was broken....couldn't help but think that wouldn't have happened with Rising Son.........Hey Peace, notice the girl on the cover of the Hippie Starter Kit Seeds looks kinda like Sarah Lee on the back of her debut CD...coincidence? :D
