Post subject: Next week in Chicago!

I'm most likely going to be VIP for the show at the Vic next week. Two things. One: Arlo, could you please play When A Soldier Makes it Home? It's been a favorite of mine ever since I was a wee Blunderite, and I haven't heard it in concert in far too long. I feel that it's particularly relevant today, and I would love to hear it live. Second: Will there be a meet-n-greet after the show? I haven't yet had a chance to meet Our Fearless Blunderer, and would love to get a chance!

Can't wait till next week!

I won't be doing much more than hosting the event in Chicago. As it turns out we are playing Symphony Hall in a couple of months and there's a conflict period where I'm not permitted to perform in the area. The good folks at Symphony Hall have given me some wiggle room because of the nature of the event - basicly a song or two. So I will introduce everyone, play with some others (that's really the most fun anyways), and generally become the circus meister for this event. The same is true for Memphis as we'll be in Germantown shortly afterward.

The extended schedule here at arlo.net provides all the details of who
is performing at each event, and who is hosting (not playing). Come anyway... it's going to be great!

Oh! And yes I will meet and go eat afterwards.

Arlo Guthrie may mot be able to perform, but those contracts often have loopholes if you use another stage name..... I think. I mean perhaps you could perform as "Okra Gumphries" , "Alan Moon" or "Barry Manilow".....err, that one might be taken already. :D

Or Arloff Boguslvaki? Remember him from that Earl Scruggs lp? ;) Yeah those conflict period's have kept him from doing some shows in Va like he should've. Arlo did great hosting the Furthur Fest so he oughta do great hosting this one here. :) Good luck with the shows Ar! :)

There was an option on ticketmaster to buy VIP general admission. That's how I got em.
