About fifteen years ago, fifteen years ago on thanksgiving, my college english professor invited me to her thanksgiving party. It was there that I was turned on to Alice's Restaurant. Not long after I was able to see Arlo performing at the Adubon Zoo, I then became a fan. I ve since hosted my share of thanksgiving parties sharing a case of wine and leftovers with friends while looping Alice's Restaurant on the T.V. I ulitmately ended up in Utah durring my hurricane Katrina evacuation. I took my first train ride ever, home. I had to wait a week until it ran all of the way to New Orleans. I was on the third one in. After leaving Chicago I couldn't help but have [i]The City of New Orleans[/i stuck in my head the whole way. I regreted then not learning it's chords. I was one of the lucky few to see Arlo on both the 16th and the 17th here in N.O., thanks for those Arlo. But tonight I discovered that Arlo isn't done helping our city out. Arlo and Friends will be playing at Jackson Square on new years eve. Thanks Arlo and Friends for helping our musicians out. I nominate you all honorary members of our city.
