Needed - Model for new illustrated book on the adventures of Reuben Clamzo.

Years ago a small child won a trip to Florida for herself and her family by winning the 1st Leslie-Ann van der Klam look-alike contest. The 2nd contest isn't really a contest as there's nothing to win, but we're hoping to discover a Leslie-Ann look-alike.

Artist, Echo Chernik ( http://www.echo-x.com/ ) who did the fabulous "Alice" poster is creating the illustrations for our next book - "The Adventures Of Reuben Clamzo." We are collaborating on what will surely be a cult classic for years to come - maybe. Although there are many professional models that would be suitable for the project, we thought it would be fun and exciting to discover someone in Blunderland who is up to the task.

We are looking for a female model who appears to be between 18 and 26 years of age. Descriptions of Leslie-Ann are in many of the old issues of the Rolling Blunder Review. There is no way to reproduce all the past issues for this contest. We're assuming fellow wanderers in Blunderland will come to the aid of anyone interested in participating. But, a basic description would be - female around 5' 7" tall, athletic build blah blah blah. You get the picture.

Well, actually, we get the picture(s). Entries cannot be returned. All entries become property of the Clamzo Project. DO NOT SEND SNAIL MAIL. All entries should be sent via email to the address below.

When and if we decide on a winner we will contact you. We're simply looking for someone who wishes to be illustrated in the forth coming book project. We've already begun the illustrations for some of the other characters and we're going to work with someone who will become Leslie-Ann. It could be you or someone you know. Obviously DO NOT send entries of anyone under 18, or someone who has not consented to be in the contest.

Hmm.....I've got the 5 feet 7 inches (actually 5'8", but who's counting ) and the athletic build...would any kind soul out there be willing to provide more of a description? Hair color, length...eye color would be helpful.

I hear both of ya!! It really sounds like LOTS of fun and I wish I could do it! But 18 or 25 or 40 passed me awhile back! AH ... youth is wasted on the young (but not the young at heart!!) Oh well ... I'll buy the book though as long as I have the glasses on to read it!!!!

Another GREAT idea---the new book on Reuben Clamzo!!! I can't wait for it to come out (I know, it's a work in progress), but I AM patient and will look forward to getting it--whenever!!

I'm 5'1, not real athletic, and am , let's say--past 60--but the heart, oh the heart is sooo young!!

I looked through my old RBR's and read up on Leslie-Ann Van Der Klam. From her description, Arlo, I've decided that I would like to be on the judging committee for this project. Needless to say, no photos will be returned. Looking forward to this book! See you in Tallahassee next month.

I have no recollection of what our dear Leslie looks like, but I did send some pics of my daughter to Arlo. Ok, she's not 5' 7", but she is over 18 and athletically built (2 out of 3 ain't bad)... and she has modeling experience... as well as acting... she's got thick, curly, long, very dark hair... huge very dark eyes... dimples... of course Leslie might have been blonde... I just don't remember!

According to Echo (the artist) not much of the above matters. She'll need someone for a day or two. She'll draw hair, eye color, stuff like that later - it's art not photography. :) Good luck!

p.s. we got to meet Echo at Carnegie, and saw some other examples of her work which were as cool as the Alice's poster, and besides that, she was really nice to talk with! Arlo does tend to hook up with some really nice folks!

Count me out ....I do not fit the above descriptions expect for athletically built I cheat I wear shoulder pads to hold up my purse.....I had a glamour shot done for a centerfold layout 10 years ago and my photo got sent to National Geograhic Magazine ....PSYCH!!

hahaha! well, if i actually knew how to come up with and send a picture E-lectronically, at least that would be HALF the battle...but then there's still the other half of the battle to deal with. :) !
