So I am new to this site, but have been a fan for some time. I was excited to see that adg would be in Austin, TX. I am sorry that the concert will not be open to the public. I live in the lone star state and would really like to see adg live. This is my plea: "Please try to set up another gig in Texas. I know that Texas is a little southwest, but we don't get the chance to see you often."

Thanks,
LAB

I found this info on it:

http://www.folkalliance.net/cms/index.php?pid=161

Looks like non-members can attend but the prices are very expensive. Glad this gigs not in VA. Good luck in getting to see him and welcome to the site... :)

I second that motion! :) I was pretty excited to see the date on this site, but now that I know it's a closed sort of gathering, I figured I'd chime in, too.

Hopefully this show will be open to the public... stay tuned. It'll be a fund raiser for the Guthrie Foundation which will donate the proceeds to the musicians of New Orleans, a continuing of the "Arlo & Friends - Ridin' On The City Of New Orleans" tour. We're still working on the details.... some things are beyond our control. But, you get the idea! :)

This one isn't as expensive as a concert coming up in NJ where it's $1000 to sit in the front orchestra area....It's a fundraiser for the worthy organization sponsoring the concert. Hope they make some $$!

I'll be sitting in the cheap seat area!!

And I'll be standing as far back from the orchestra as I can! I wouldn't be able to afford getting that close!

:)

That's great news and a good cause, too. I'll keep my eyes peeled for updates. Thanks!

Everybody one, two, three:

We love you Arlo
Oh yes we do
We love you Arlo
and will be true
When you're not near us
We're blue (oooooo)
Oh Arlo we love you!

I could not resist....Had a species of an usual birdie floating around my Twinkie head by the name of Conrad chirping in my eardrum so I drowned out Conrad and replaced it with Arlo :)

Peace
