I was just wondering when Arlo would be next touring Australia & which states?

I have been an Arlo fan since 1967, my friend & I saw "Alice's Restaurant "17 times at the movies, used to wear the hat & army surplus jacket.

I went to his concert in 1977, when I was 5 months pregnant & have all of his records. I also am a big fan of Woody & Pete Seeger.

I was talking to my boss yesterday about "Alice's Restaurant" & was surprised he had never heard of it or Arlo, so today I bought the DVD which I wasn't aware was available & am going to give it to him to watch, he is the same age as me, I can't understand how anyone born in the 50's could not have heard about it.

Anyway, I am glad that I found this site & want to thank Arlo for his wonderful music & hope he continues playing for a long time to come.

Hi Sandie, Arlo was here in 2004, so don't know if he'll come back in the near future. There are a few Oz fans on here and we've been dropping hints for him to come to the Woodford Folk Festival in Queensland at the end of this year. Ya never know!!!! These, Sandie, are serious subjects on which to ponder. When adg will come to OZ again is right up there with them. Just chill and live your life and one day when you look up the schedule you will get one heck of a big surprise and I can assure you it will be well and truely worth the wait!

Anyway, in those times when I sit around trying to have deep thoughts and think of stuff that has twinge of cosmic truth.....or something..... I did come up with one about palindromes. To a dyslexic person, ALL words are palindromes. That still don't explain Bush though I know, but I'm working on it.
I was also thinking about our friends here on Arlonet from the land of Oz down under, and how we may be able to help each other, and perhaps the world. As you may know, toilets in the northern hemispere flush counter clockwise. and toilets in the southern hemisphere flush clockwise.(go check if you think I'm making this up) Any way, if we could get an exact equal number of people in both the northern and southern hemisperes to flush the exact same number of toilets at the exact same time, the counterbalancing twisting force would stop the earth rotating on it's axis, thereby freezing time. The trick is to not only get all those ducks in a row, but to choose a point in time we would like to freeze.......maybe like an Arlo gig at the church or something, or during a worldwide cease fire in all the conflicts that are going on, or perhaps right before Bush decides to do something that we will all regret later......I dunno, I think the toilet flushing thing will be easier to put together than figuring out when to do it?

You could have left off the last six words above; they are redundant in this context as just about everything the man does is regrettable. What you describe is the Coriolus Effect, however, it doesn't really work like that with drains, only large systems like weather systems.

affect the flow of a small mass of water in a sink. Engineers have studied the draining
of tanks from several perspectives and they find that the draining is to some extent

tank is stirred in one direction and the "plug" is pulled hours later the direction of
the vortex tends to "remember" the initial direction of the stirring. In addition the

Just so you can be prepared Mikey, I've decided to try try this toilet thing on 03/20/2023, because feezing time works best on palindromic dates, because time don't know if it's coming or going on dates like these.
