My Husband and I saw Arlo last night in Princeton. He was the best....being funny as usual, great music and lots of warm fuzzy feelings for me remembering all of the times I had seen him through the years at Southstreet (when it was a small pier) and at Carnegie.

I remember him talking about how Pete could just get people to sing by doing something.....and he didn't know how he did it. Well Arlo...you're there.....you get people to sing now....even people in Princeton.

Oh, and Arlo...that audience is strange. They are soooo quiet and don't laugh and scream..except the people sitting in front of me who were talking all through the concert and yelling because they were probably really drunk.

Oh well. It was great and I am still feeling happy.....and it was nice to be close instead of waaaaay up high in Carnegie...although I do miss the NY audience.

my husband and i were at this concert, too. when it was over, we just looked at each other and grinned. i had such a good, happy feeling throughout the evening.


i loved all the familiar songs, "alice's restaurant", "comin' into los angeles", "city of new orleans" and the new ones "times like these", "patriot's dream", "my darkest hour"...and there was something so moving to me about "this land is your land"--i mean, everyone in the audience knows it and has known it from the time they were kids--the story of Joseph is so fitting in that song. one person makes a difference. the unknown man in Joseph--Woody and his wonderful songs, and Arlo for keeping such a wonderful tradition alive and kicking.

I think Arlo is right about one person making a difference. If we all tried to make our corner of the world a better place, all of the corners would be better.

I love that Arlo is writing songs about what is happening in our world now. It means that someone still cares enough to say something.

And...I'm still feeling happy just thinking about Arlo singing and telling stories......

Hi all. Sorry for the new screen name formerly NJARLOFAN couldn't get in the system. I to was at Saturday's performance in Princeton. As always, a great performance by Arlo and the band. Being a long time fan, I finally got to meet Arlo after the show. He was everything I knew he would be.
He was very friendly and kind enough to take a few pictures with me.

Thank you Arlo. I will see you in October at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank NJ ( In the front row ! ) Can't wait.

Hey Arlo, I was thinking that "Presidental Rag" should get back into your playlist. I was listening to your words that you wrote 35 years ago and they seem to be oh so true again. This one doesn't seem to know whats going on around him either...just a thought.
