We're just about through July! Half of summer is still ahead of us. But, what a summer it's been. More humidity than I remember from years ago - Things change. My old friend Gordon and I talked a few days ago. He said "My plan is to live forever! So far, so good." Or something to that effect. It made me laugh.

Marti & I are enjoying the flowers, the wildlife, the summer. It goes quickly, but it's always something to look forward to. I hope everyone reading this is likewise taking it easy, and watching the time go by.

It’s beautiful outside, but someone needs to turn the heat down. I don’t dig it being in the 90s every single day!

Yeah! Too hot almost everywhere! Where we are it's not too bad (up in the northeast). Mixed bag everywhere else. Some got too much, some too little. It's nuts! Hang in there!

August 18 and things here in the Delmarva (Southern Maryland)are settling down a bit. Local corn is looking very good and there are very small signs fall has started . A few bright red leaves and if the weather man is correct after Tuesday we will have our first full week of low 80 and hi 70's for the day and a full week of nighttime lows in the 50's. The Mrs. and my Daughter are Teachers and started back (no kids) last Wednesday. I guess I'm rushing it a bit but it's my favorite time of year.
