My friend, Alice, whose idea for a restaurant in Stockbridge, and subsequently her idea becoming a real restaurant, which became part of a song, which changed our lives forever, has passed away. Alice died in Provincetown, MA where she grew up. It was home. She was 83 years old, and had heart related problems. She left this world a week before Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 20th.

I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your Dear Friend . While many of us knew of her from your music she was your Friend and that is a whole different thing. Strange how just meeting people that you can connect with can change your life in a whole new direction. I was never lucky enough to meet her but I did have lunch at the restaurant in 1975(she was not there that day)May she find Peace and my thoughts and prayers to her and her Family.
