Who'd a thunk! It's February 2026 so the New Year has finally taken off, and running. We're been on the cool side in many places, and my prediction is, it'll be on the too warm side soon enough. Crazy times! Between the excesses in the political arena, the extremes of weather, and whatever else is going on, we just endure. And hope that better times come sooner than later.

In another 8 weeks or so, Marti and I plan to return to The Berkshires. It'll be too hot and humid in these parts - not unusual. Meanwhile - As the song says "I'll still stick around to see what happens next."

Watched the movie, "The Longest Beer Run" a movie about Vietnam. It reminded me that we have been through terrible times before. It gave me some hope that we can overcome these trying times.

IMO we need a new generation to step up and speak out like back in the 60's.

March 7th and we are about ready to get weather whiplash here in Southern Maryland . Within weeks we will go from single digit temps and wind chills in the minus's to the 70's and there is talk of 80's here on Wed or Thursday. typical spring in Maryland . I would bet we still see some flurries in April ! LOL.

what great music.
It's not just music that can step up but the poets, the visual artists, the dancers, the writers! Where can we find the echoes of the times we are in now?
