Father Guido Sarducci opened for Arlo at The Main Point the first time I saw him! Wow, was that a long time ago. And that was before any of us had ever heard of the good father!

He did My Peace at Hampton last nite. Beautiful. Btw, Arlo says Hi to everone on here...

I could have seen Elvis in 1971 for around $10. But no, I was too stupid. I didn't appreciate him. Older relatives kept telling me I'd be sorry, and I am. It was a period of time where he wasn't quite as fit as in his comeback black leather pant era, 1969, but not as bad off as the middle 70s when he was out of it and tossing scarves into the audience.

I think the most famous person I saw perform back in the 70s was Kinky Friedman.

If anyone has seen Arlo at Carnegie Hall at Thanksgiving, tell us what it was like. I might make that one sometime.

Too bad you didn't go see him. I never got the chance to see him. Mike saw him 4 times & loved it being a HUGE Elvis fan. He talks about his times of seeing Elvis with fond memories...

I just got a copy of "Arlo, Alice & Anglicans" and it looks like it has tons of info about the making of the movie. I can't wait to curl up with this and read it cover to cover!

In skimming through it it mentions a newsletter of Arlo's called Rolling Blunder.
Does anyone know anything about that?

I just wanted to let anyone know who didn't have the book that it looks terrific. And to thank JUDY for telling me about this book.

It's the Rolling Blunder Review, titled after Arlo's great and fondly remembered Rolling Blunder Tour, which came sometime after Dylan's Rolling Thunder Tour. It's (in part) why we are called Blunderites. It came out from time to time in the 80s and 90s, but seems to have been replaced by Arlo's occasional online 'articles.' --as have been so many other print newsletters. Jay and I have a stack of issues in a closet and it's probably time to locate and haul 'em out for a nostalgia weekend. Thanks for the reminder!

Ceashell, you read my mind! I was DYING to ask just what the hell this word blunder referred to. I used it myself once I saw everyone saying it 'cause I just liked the word and I felt like such a blunderer when I first plopped onto this site. So now I know. Hmmmm ... interesting that the tour was named after Dylan's tour's name. Was that just because of Arlo's gift with word play, playing off thunder ... or was it maybe because Arlo thinks of Dylan as a soul brother, for lack of better word, since Dylan kind of introduced Woody's song to the 60s generation.

What sites have his articles on them?

And who is Jay? (I'm still a green horn on this site and don't know the cast of characters. Not that you or anyone is a character in the bad sense of the word!

Thelmalou, all I can say to most of your questions is "yes or maybe." And to the one about where Arlo posts that would be this site and http://www.risingsonrecords.com. It's an occasional phenomenon, as was the Rolling Blunder Review. That makes it all the more sweet.
