Went to the Q&A at the Grammy Museum in LA last night. It started with about 90 minutes of conversation with Arlo, led by Robert Santelli, executive director of the Grammy Museum. That was followed by some questions from the audience and a few songs. It was an incredibly open and honest discussion, split evenly between talk about Woody and Arlo himself. Arlo described Woody as he really was... not some mythological hero, but a real person with flaws as well as talents. The audience was receptive and respectful. It was serious and fun, escapist and thoughtful. It was a one of a kind experience.
