From my sister, via email today:

Took Zack to oral surgeon for consult last week. Getting wisdom teeth out the 19th. Anyway this guy is probably our age and really easy to talk to. A real "mensch". Funny too. So he's asking Zack what grade he's in, etc. What are his plans for after high school. You know, the usual chat. Zack tells him either college or the military.


Well, the doctor tells the nurse to shut the door. And he proceeds to tell Zack not to go in the military. Then he asks me what I thought. (He did disclaim that it's not his business to put his 2 cents in first). I told him I what I thought and that I had wanted to play Alice's Restaurant when the recruiter was there but didn't have time to find it.


He cracked up! We both started the "I want to kill, I want to kill". Then he said, "and there's something between his teeth" and I said, yeah, blood and guts. He started laughing and said, yeah, I want blood and guts between my teeth,...etc. It was really funny. Zack just smiled and shook his head at us.


So I thought you'd appreciate that little story. What a neat doctor. Hope he removes teeth just as nicely.
