Anyone heard anything about Southern Illinois or the St. Louis area for any future shows? I just found this site and didn't see any around this area, am I too late and just miss him? I will even settle for Kentucky, Tennessee, or Indiana shows, it's worth the drive. Thanks to anyone that can help, it's much appreciated!

softlystated, I don't know what to tell you. You might try going to Arlo's Restaurant and find the thread Arlo, I BEG of you!! and plead your case. As for me, I just keep holding out, hoping one day (this year) I'll see Kansas City listed in Arlo's tour schedule as new dates/venues are still being added. If it weren't for reading the warming show reports like Kittywest's and others my heart would surely wax cold while waiting ever so patiently for Arlo's return to to this area to rekindle my spirit during these troubling BushWacking times we're living in. Heck yes, if Arlo came to St. Louis, I'd be Tickled, or somewhere within 250 mi. of KC. I know Arlo can't play every city/town/state everybody'd like him to but while I see that the dart throwing method(?) is working very favorable for the good folks in WI and a few other states, a blunderite on the KC waiting list can go from innocent envious to jittery jealous. I've tried contacting various local venues to request Mr. Guthrie only to find out booking practices are "We don't call the artist(s), they call us!" My best bet so far is a trip to Okemah in July to see Arlo & Family & Friends... should be well worth the wait and worth dodging those ornery armadillos!
softlystated, good luck! :)

Thanks for the advice, I just went to I BEG OF YOU and posted my desperate plea. It's good to hear of others in the area that share the same love of Mr. Guthrie's music. Maybe one day soon he will appear in the area. It seems when the we do get music down in this area (when we don't get overlooked because we're not Chicago) it is aimed for a younger crowd. I'm not that aged myself, but seems my spirit is and it would be nice to see the bands that sing to it. We can always keep our fingers crossed :D
