I won't be there, either! Not that I had planned to go, though...this weekend is the Folk Club Campout. Friends in Winchester, VA (regulars at the local Reston-Herndon Folk Club, an every Tuesday evening open mic and once a month concerts for the past 19 years!)are opening their yard and home to folk club people and friends.We'll spend time singing and playing guitars and banjos, fiddles and mandolins and whatever else people bring,we'll share wonderful meals, trade songs and stories, and camp out. I hauled the popup camper out there last night. Laura's birthday is Saturday, but she's got friends who want to take her out to celebrate on Friday and Saturday (she'll be 23) so she's chosen to celebrate her birthday with us out there at the campout on Sunday. She knows all those folks, and they feel like family, so it will be a lot of fun.

Have fun at the folk campout Sue! & Have fun at the shows to those going. Maybe Arnie can drag the family to the gig. I'm sure they'd all enjoy hearing ALICES done live LOL! & For for those not going have a good labor day everyone!

I was there. The giant Oysters were satisfied when they fed a couple of the folks in the cheap seats to them. I was in the cheap seats myself, but I know when to keep a low profile.

It was a great show. What I couldn't believe was that it was Labor Day weekend on Long Island and there was an outdoor show and it didn't rain. Go figure.

I would have kept a setlist if I'd had a pen and a flashlight, but I didn't have either. It was a lot like the more recent shows. Posted here. Sarah wasn't there so neither were her songs, of course. I'm really liking the sets. I never, ever get tired of Oklahoma Hills. The covers of Mr. Tambourine Man and Me and Bobbie McGee kick ass. Love the new songs, especially Back by Popular Demand. That and the talk he gives as the infro makes me feel like maybe..just maybe I might survive the election. Then again, maybe not.

I couldn't stay around to say hi. Had my mother coming home from the hospital and a visiting nurse coming today and all that, so I'll say it now. Hi Arlo and Abe and thanks for coming back to Long Isand and for yet another great evening.
