Greetings from a motel in Woodbridge, VA. :) We had a great time last nite! He told 2 new stories. I took a set list which was scrawled in the dark lol. Even tho I've heard the songs & stories many times over I always get something new out of it. I felt like I was at home really & not at a show. Arlo makes ya feel so at home. Twice during the show, I felt the presence of God & some good vibes & got this good peace that I wish had lasted forever. It was nice seeing Sue, Agnes & Don there. Good music & friends & a great folksinger. He wore a black suit, & the gerbera daisy. The daisy looks so cute on him. :)

Now later we will go to the Potomac Mills outlet mall & the Mall in Fredericksburg, VA, a great way to end the trip.! Niters kids I'm tired... :)

I was at the Strathmore last night. WOW. It was my first Arlo concert. I had been given tickets by a friend who knew I had named my Samoyed after Arlo. (14 years ago I named my first Samoyed Woody because I was listening to Vision Shared on the way home from the breeder.) I am still tingling from last night's concert and I am looking forward to seeing Arlo again at the Birchmere in August.

PS - I am looking for a female Samoyed that I intend to name "Sara Lee".

wow, mom! :)

hi cheryl.

i loved the show, too. there were times when i thought that someone should be dancing...like for "coming into LA" and that doc watson tune? (a classic among friends; "screw it up or not, we're doing it") that one always has me thinking reckless happy abandon...i had a great seat for it, no one behind me and plenty of floor room.

oh, and he did "alice's"!
not really, he sang about singing it though...

anyways...come back soon!

(edited for spelling and crap, whatever...)

I've seen Arlo at least 6 or 7 times, mostly at Wolftrap and once at the Birchmere, but Sunday night I actually got to meet him for the first time ever! What a thrill!!! I even got an autographed copy of "Outlasting the Blues" on CD; I have LOTS of cassette tapes which are the worse for wear, so it's time to start replacing them with CDs.

Do you think he'd autograph a copy of "Mooses come walking" if I brought one for my DD to the Birchmere? I'm trying to imbue in her a love for the finer things in life, like good music... :D

I'm sure he would autograph "Mooses"... I have to get me another autographed copy of it, because my four-year-old granddaughter has absconded with my first copy..... it's her favorite book, and she's just about worn it out!
