Attended this show last night. Arlo always comes through as both singer and raconteur. I've been attending his shows since the Alice days, always coming away from the most recent still impressed. The addition of Gordon Titcomb to the band several years ago is a definite plus.

Is anyone as impressed with the Gordon's versatility as I am? Purchased his CD, The Last Train, and discovered that not only is he an instrumental wizard, but the man can really sing too. I highly recommend the CD. It deserves a listen.

Would anyone else besides myself, like to hear Gordon gracing us with one of his songs in future Arlo shows? I, for one, am truly blown away by this man's talent.

The show last night was fabulous. Arlo, Abe and Gordon were in top form. By some huge fluke, we were there the day the tickets went on sale so our seats were front row, center. Arlo did all my favorites plus a few I hadn't heard him do before. (loved his version of "Me and Bobby Mcgee") As if sitting that close wasn't great enough, as we were walking out, I said to my friend "wouldn't it be great if we got to see Arlo walk out and get on the bus?" (His bus was parked right there by the entrance.) We decided to hang around for a bit just to see if we might catch a glimpse. As it turned out, he was already on the bus. About the time I saw him on the bus, the door opened and he stepped out to mingle with the several of us standing there. What a thrill. Of course I was totally tongue-tied, but I did manage to get an autograph on my program. We were soon joined by Abe and Gordon who were also very gracious and chatted and signed autographs. It was the best birthday gift I could ever have wished for. Thank you, Arlo...and Abe and Gordon.

You're right! There's nothing like going to see Arlo (or another Guthrie) to celebrate your birthday! I've done it several times, myself. This year it was Sarah Lee and Johnny.

And by the way, Gordon sang one of his songs at the Church last night, to thunderous applause.

Oh man, I'd love to hear Gordon sing. He is an excellent instrumentalist & a nice guy too!
