Just got home from NC (just a "few" stops along the way). This is by far one of the BEST shows I've seen/heard Arlo do in a very long time. SarahLee and Johnny were terrific and Abe's just adorable.

Before the show, SLG and Johnny were seen running across the street and, of course, I just had to walk in behind them, had to see that gorgeous baby girl.

It was great finally putting a face and voice to Baldwinville, who managed to get himself lost on the way to the show. Many cellphone calls later, he miraculously arrived by SLG and Johnny's 3rd song.

My son, Eric (who for years had been saying, No, not Arlo! I'm tired of hearing Arlo all day long) absolutely LOVED the show and is planning to go with me when Arlo comes up north to the Phila/Reading/Harrisburg areas.

Eric spoke with Arlo briefly after the show (a very brief signing occurred as Arlo greeted a few fans while standing on the step of the bus) and Arlo signed a large poster I'd made of several pictures of Arlo holding Eric as a baby. Those pics can be seen at www.geocities.com/pcterrie/Music.html

Cheryl, I think Arlo's socks were gray, but I'm not 100% sure; his shirt was black as was Abes (or maybe a very dark navy blue). SLG wore a slinky red dress and Johnny wore a red shirt with a black jacket, tying all the color schemes together.

SarahLee and Johnny opened, sang 5 songs and then were joined by Arlo.

Amazingly great show, Arlo was at his best with his sense of humor. Someone we met there told us he works at UNC-C and that we should look him up on Saturday. Once at UNC-C on Saturday, he told me that Arlo's 1/2 comedian and 3/4 singer. Then he realized, how can THAT be? But he's absolutely right!

Yes folks, I did get lost just like BuffaloGal said, even though I'd been there before. When I finally did find my way I was held up by a train for 20 minutes. It was nice to meet Terrie and her son Eric, they are both very nice. The crowd at the Neighborhood Theatre was the most enthusiastic I've ever seen anywhere, they gave Arlo a standing ovation as soon as he walked onto the stage. Never seen that happen before. A truly great show.

Held up by a train? Must've been the one that held me up yesterday LOL! We almost thought Balwinville had gotten lost at Newberry. Tonite he didn't miss any of the show. <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

That would be very embarrasing if I got lost in Newberry. It's a very small town and it's only 18 miles from home.

i wouldn't feel too bad. i remember getting lost on the way home from a show once and hadn't even left the parking lot!

once we found the road though it was smooth sailing...

(i'd brought my dad with me. during the show, arlo's stories would be going in one ear and my dad's would be going in the other. something arlo would say would always remind my dad of something. it was great.)

We had an awesome time in Durham tonite! Got to meet Hurricane Erika & Alistair Brown from this site. Both nice folks! There were rats outside the motel here but we are surviving LOL! Newberry is an interseting place. Lots of folk sing title ideas there. <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>
